🦇 BatCam Project – Schmeeckle Reserve
Role: Lead Developer & UX Designer

Problem
Schmeeckle Reserve needed a non-invasive way to monitor bat populations as part of their conservation efforts.
Solution
I helped develop an interface for a motion-triggered camera system (BatCam) that captures and stores bat activity. The UI focused on clarity, accessibility, and ease-of-use for staff with minimal tech experience.
My Contributions
- Designed a minimalist interface that functions well in low-light conditions.
- Created custom CSS animations to simulate bat detection feedback.
- Created a design and style sheet in Canva to be used by future developers.

🤝 People Helping People (PHP) – Volunteer Matching Platform
Role: UI Designer & Front-End Developer
Tools: Figma, Bootstrap, CSS Animations, HTML
Timeline: Spring 2025
Problem
Many community members were unable to access help for daily tasks. Volunteers needed an easier way to connect with them and customize their support experience.
Solution
We designed a responsive, accessible web platform where users can register, find help, or offer support. One key feature was a profile customization page allowing users to personalize their experience, including fonts and themes for accessibility.
My Contributions
- Designed the Profile Customization interface in Figma.
- Built the front-end using Bootstrap and CSS transitions.
- Developed a static login/register page with clean semantic structure.
